Doctoral Distractions

So I found this randomly today - and thought it looked neat.  Store a list of your personal books online, like a library, and share what you’re reading with others—like an online librarian community, sorta.  You can list up to 200 books for free, and then pay $10/year or $25 for life for more books.

…how sad (or….awesome?) is it that (ignoring the little cost actually involved) I had to frown when I realized, without even so much as glancing at my personal library, that I’d be paying for a life membership by default?
